| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Frank Maehr. Based on information in the 1912 Davenport City Directory, Frank Maehr was a baker, confectioner, candy manufacturer and manufacturer of ice cream on 110 West 2nd Street. His residence was 2324 West 3rd Street. Frank Maehr married Mary Steffen on April 26, 1888 in Scott County. Based on information in the 1910 Census, Frank was born about 1862 in Iowa. He had five sons, Walter, Arno, Robert, Frank and Victor. Victor D. Maehr was born April 22, 1898 in Davenport and died November 25, 1957 in Elyria, Ohio. His obituary was published on page 6 of the Davenport Democrat on November 26, 1957. Arno R. Maehr was born about 1892 and died on August 12, 1965 in Davenport. His obituary was published on page 8 of the Quad City Times August 13, 1965. Walter P. Maehr was born in Davenport about 1890 and died in Davenport on September 7, 1971 at the age of 81. His obituary was published in the Quad-City Times on September 9, 1981. |
