NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled Mrs. Wm. Kimball and 2 boys. Based on information in the 1913 Davenport City Directory, Wm H. Kimball was a civil engineer and lived on 206 Mississippi Avenue with his wife, Nellie. Nellie Kimball was the secretary of the Davenport Visiting Nurse Association. Based on information in the 1915 Iowa Census, Nellie was 40 years old, Herbert was 14 years old and William Jr. was 10 years old. Based on information in her obituary, published in the Davenport Democrat on 28 Oct 1958, Nellie Hayward was born in Davenport and was a member of the Tuesday Club, The Visiting Nurse Association and the Ladies Industrial Relief Society. Her son Herbert H. lived in Summit, NJ and William P. lived in Hanover, NH.
