| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Ardo Mitchell. Based on information in the 1920 Census, Ardo W. Mitchell (age 35), lived in Rock Island, Illinois with his wife, Eleanor (age 35) and children Marion (age 7) and Eleanor (age 2). Based on information in the Davenport Democrat on May 1, 1954, died in Florida. He was an official at the First National Bank of Rock Island, Federal Bake Shops in Davenport and an amateur golfer. He was born on June 19, 1884 and lived in Rock Island most of his life. He served as a captain in the Army during World War I. He married Eleanor Hobbs, daughter of former Commandant Frank Hobbs of the Rock Island Arsenal, in 1911. |
