| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Mrs. Walter Schmidt. Based on information in the 1914 Davenport City Directory, Walter Schmidt was secretary and treasurer of the Roddewig-Schmidt Candy Company and lived on 528 West 8th Street with his wife, Elizabeth. Based on information in the 1910 Federal census, They had two daughters: Wanda (born 1898) and Ramona (born 1901). Based on information published in the Davenport Democrat and Leader on 12 May 1946, Miss Ramona Schmidt married Rollo J. Mullery, who was president of the Port Byron State Bank. Her obituary was published in the Davenport Times-Democrat on 08 September 1965. Based on information in her obituary, she was born 31 March 1901 in Davenport, the daughter of Walter and Sara Schmidt. |

TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 25 and contrast to 20 in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. |
