| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Max Peterson. Based on information in the 1914 Davenport City Directory, Max D. Petersen, of JHC Petersen's sons, was the owner of the Lorenzen building. Based on information in the 1915 Iowa State Census, Mr. Petersen was born in Germany Ca. 1851. Max D. Petersen's obituary was published in the Davenport Daily Times on 12 April 1915. Max Dortu Petersen was born 23 September 1850 in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the son of Mr. & Mrs. J. H. C. Petersen. He came with his family to Scott County at the age of 9 years. |

TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 20 and contrast to 15 in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. |
