| Description | Composite photograph of two photographs. The top image is the Davenport High School women's basketball team. Photographs of the girls are arranged on the letter 'D', and in the center is a basketball marked "Champions." Clockwise from the upper left, the names of the six women are Vera Lerch, Miss Long...Coach, Evelyn Macgregor...Captain, Camilla McLean, Esther Lohmiller, and Lolita Juehl. The bottom image is group portrait of the Davenport High School men's basketball team. Eight men are dressed in basketball uniforms, and a man on the far right holds a basketball marked "Tri-City Champions." Two other men in the photograph are dressed in suits and may be the coaches or managers. A note on the back of the photograph lists eight names: Allen, Schrudt, [illegible], Crawford, Lafound, Voss, Barbolt, Hauson-Rhodes. In the lower left corner of the photograph is the number 66. |
