DescriptionGroup photograph of people at the beach at Credit Island on the Mississippi River at Davenport, Iowa. The lifeguard is standing on the beach near a life boat. The bathhouse is in the upper right corner of the photograph. Several of the swimmers are wearing bathing suits marked with S I B and a number. At this time, Credit Island was known as Suburban Island. The letters may stand for Suburban Island Beach or Suburban Island Bathhouse.
