| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Mr. A. Thordsen. Based on information in the Iowa Births and Christenings Index, Arthur Thordsen was born January 27, 1894 in Clinton, IA, the son of Asmus Peter Fugnerd Thordsen and Anna Maria Hansen. Based on information in the 1910 Census, the family lived in Davenport, IA. Based on information in the WWI Draft Registration cards, Mr. Thordsen was a clerk in the engineering division office at the Rock Island Arsenal. In the 1920 Census, Arthur was married to Josephine Knox and the lived with her parents in Rock Island, IL. In the 1930 Census, Arthur and Josephine were living in Chicago, IL. Based on information in the WWII Draft Registration cards, Arthur Thordsen lived in Chicago and was self-employed. Based on information in the Oregon Death Index, Arthur Thordsen died on December 16, 1974 in Marion, Oregon. Based on information in the U. S. Veterans Grave sites, Arthur Thordsen is buried at Willamette Nation Cemetery in Portland, OR and served with the Navy in World War I. |
