NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled Mr. Phillip Taxman. Based on information in the 1900 Census, Philip Taxman was the son of Jacob and Sophia Taxman, and they lived in Rock Island, IL. Based on information in the WWI Draft Registration cards, Mr. Taxman worked as general manager and accountant at Taxman Bros. In the 1930 Census, Phil H. Taxman was living in Chicago, IL. Based on information in the Cook County, Illinois Marriage Indexes, Phil H. Taxman married Ethyl E. Cohan on March 11, 1923. Based on information in the WWII Draft Registration cards, Philip Howard Taxman was born September 12, 1892 in Rock Island, IL. He lived at the Shoreland Hotel in Chicago and was in business for himself. Based on information in the Social Security Death Index, Mr. Taxman died in Chicago in November 1972.
