NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled Phyliss Kruel. Based on information in the 1920 Census, Phyllis Kruel was born in Iowa in 1902, the daughter of Dwight G. and Emma K. Kruel. Based on information in the 1930 Census, she married Henry Tubbs in 1924 and they lived in Monmouth, Illinois. Based on information in her mother's obituary, published in the Davenport Democrat on March 30, 1958, Phyllis Tubbs was living in California.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 15, contrast to 10 and midtone to 10 in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
