The stone from this quarry was used by the Civil Works Administration for surfacing township roads in Scott County, Iowa. This was Project #106 of the Civil Works Administration (C.W.A.) projects in Scott County, Iowa. A barn is in the upper left corner of the photograph.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photograph scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the shadows from 0 to 12, the midtones from 1.00 to 1.21, and the highlights from 255 to 238 using Adobe Photoshop 7.0.
