On the left is Voellinger Motor Company with a window display of Firestone Tires and gasoline pumps in front of the building. In the distance is the Carmelite Monastery, later known as the Abbey Hotel. This was Project #77 of the Civil Works Administration (C.W.A.) projects in Scott County, Iowa. |

| Digital Reproduction Information | Digital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photograph scanned at 8-bit grayscale 1200ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the shadows from 0 to 20, the midtones from 1.00 to 1.87, and the highlights from 255 to 241 using Adobe Photoshop 7.0. |
