This photograph was taken at their home at 1722 Arlington Avenue in Davenport, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Schroeder are seated in the front row, second and third from the left. Family in the photograph includes the Schroeder children with their spouses and children. A newspaper article in the Davenport Democrat mentions their children's names: Mrs. Lena Gaston of Boone, Iowa, Charles H. Schroder of Spencer, Iowa, Dr. Henry Schroeder of Braymer, Missouri, Mrs. Charles L. Anderson of Peoria, Illinois, and Dr. Peter H. Schroeder of Davenport, Iowa. A young girl is sitting on Mr. Schroder's lap, and she is holding a doll.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the highlights from 255 to 149 using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0.
