NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled Dr. J. W. Benedom. Based on Davenport city directories and the 1900 census it is believed this is Josephius W. Benadom, a physician, born in 1843 in Ohio. He was a proprietor of the Benadom Sanitarium at 600 Pine Street in Davenport along with his son, William A. Benadom in the early 1900's. He does not appear in the Davenport city directories after 1908. See also Image 492 (Image 7 of 7) on DPLVolume2.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 73 and contrast to 53 in Microsoft PhotoEditor.
