And now a word about our sponsors….

The Upper Mississippi Valley Digital Image Archive is a grant-funded consortium of cultural institutions primarily located in the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois. Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library (ISL), a Division of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), under the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). Additional grant support comes from the Riverboat Development Authority, Augustana College Humanities Council and the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust. Institutional funding has been provided by Augustana College (Rock Island, Illinois), Davenport Public Library (Iowa), and Musser Public Library (Muscatine, Iowa). Additional partners in the grant currently include the Galesburg Public Library (Illinois), the Putnam Museum (Davenport, Iowa) and the Rock Island County Historical Society (Moline, Illinois).

The Upper Mississippi Valley Digital Image Archive seeks to serve as a model of collaboration among smaller institutions who would not be able to pursue a large scale digitization project without additional resources.
